Mongolia - Oli Haukur Valtysson

Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure of a lifetime! We're about to take you on a journey to Mongolia, a country known for its kind-hearted and hardworking people who may seem a bit shy at first, but trust us, it's worth making the effort to break the ice. Even if you don't understand their language, you'll be amazed at how much you can still interact with the locals.

Mongolia is a land of true nomads and a rich history of Chinggis Khaan, making it one of the most unique and unexplored travel destinations in the world. With its stunning landscapes, nomadic lifestyle, and rich culture, it's a photographer's paradise.

Our adventure begins in the Gobi Desert, where you'll have the rare opportunity to photograph the locals as they herd Bactrian camels across the Khongor sands in South Mongolia. And that's just the beginning! The second part of our journey takes us to the cultural heart of the Kazakhs, where we'll witness the ancient art of eagle falconry and marvel at the breathtaking landscapes of the Altai Mountain Range. You'll even have a chance to participate in the private Golden Eagle Festival in West Mongolia and witness the traditional warrior style of the Chinggis Khaan army.

VIDEO FROM MY FIRST MONGOLIA TRIP

When you hear the word "Mongolia," what comes to mind? Is it Genghis Khan, people living in tents, or maybe nothing at all?

Before my first trip to Mongolia, I asked random people around me what they knew about this fascinating country, and I was surprised to find that they knew very little, almost nothing, in fact.

That's why, in this video from my first trip to Mongolia, I'm going to give you the highlights and share some of my experiences during the trip. So buckle up and get ready to discover the wonders of Mongolia!
